It is simple to add products to your WooCommerce (WordPress) store. Simply follow these step-by-step guidelines:
1. Log In to WordPress Admin
– Go to yourdomain.com/wp-admin
– Provide your username & password
2. Navigate to WooCommerce Products
– Click Products > Add New in the left sidebar
3. Add Product Details
A. Product Name & Description
-Title: Enter the product name at the top.
-Description: A complete product description goes into the main text area (on the product page).
B. Choose Product Type
Scroll down to the “Product Data” section. Choose the correct product type:
1. Simple Product – Basic product (most commonly used).
2. Variable Product – Items with variations (e.g., sizes, color).
3. Grouped Product – A grouping of related items.
4. External/Affiliate Product – Links to some other store.
C. Set Product Price
– On General tab:
– Regular Price – Set default price.
– Sale Price – Set the sale price (optional).
D. Set Inventory (Stock Management)
– Click on the Inventory tab:
– Enter SKU (Stock Keeping Unit, optional).
– Enable Managed stock? (if tracking inventory).
– Set Stock quantity and Stock status (In Stock/Out of Stock).
E. Set Shipping Details
– Click on the Shipping tab:
– Enter Weight (kg, lbs).
– Enter Dimensions (length, width, height).
F . Add Product Images & Gallery
– On the right-hand side, find Product Image.
– Click Set Product Image to upload the main image.
– Click Add Product Gallery Images to upload extra images.
G. Add Categories & Tags
– Right, choose Product tags or click on Add New Tag.
– Add relevant Product Tags (optional, but helps with searching).
4. SEO Optimize (Optional but Optional)
Scroll down to the **Yoast SEO or Rank Math SEO section (if both are active).
– Add a Focus Keyword (e.g., “Leather Wallet”).
– Check and tweak Meta Title & Description to rank better in search engines.
5. Publish the Product
– Click Preview to check the product page.
– Click Publish to make it live.
6. Bulk Product Upload (CSV Method)
If you have multiple products, use WooCommerce’s Import Tool
1. Go to Products > Import.
2. Download the sample CSV file fill it with product details.
3. Upload it and match the fields.
4. Click **Run the Importer
